Your love notes never leave your closet
Poshmark shows a buyer's love note in your closet and nowhere else. A shopper who finds you on Instagram or at a pop-up cannot read one without downloading the app and searching for you. Plenty of resellers list the same piece on three apps at once, and a reputation split three ways is three small ones. One page at your own address keeps it together.
When to ask
Right after they leave a love note, when they have already decided to say something nice.
Send the link then, not in a follow-up a month later. A review is written in the mood the buyer is in when they get the link, and that is the mood you want on the page.
What to ask
The form has one box, and what goes in it depends on what you asked. These get an answer a stranger can use. “Great seller” does not.
- What did you buy, and how did it fit?
- Did it look like the photos once you had it on?
- What would you tell somebody browsing this closet?
What lands on your page
An example, written to show the shape. The name, the tags and the verified mark come from the reviewer and the link they used, and nothing shows until you approve it.
Example
Fit exactly like the measurements said and smelled like nothing at all, which for secondhand is a small miracle. She threw in a lint roller too.
Worth knowing
Before you put your link in a comment or a message on Poshmark, read Poshmark's own rules on outside links. A card tucked in with the order reaches the same buyer without going through the app.
