TheyRave for musicians selling merch
A streaming number does not sell the next shirt
Someone buying a shirt, a vinyl, or a bundle off a band's own site is taking a chance on print quality, shipping time, and whether the thing in the photo is the thing that shows up. A streaming number says nothing about any of that. A fan who already bought the shirt and got it in hand can answer every part of it.
When to ask
Once the order actually arrives, not when it ships.
Send the link then, not in a follow-up a month later. A review is written in the mood the buyer is in when they get the link, and that is the mood you want on the page.
What to ask
The form has one box, and what goes in it depends on what you asked. These get an answer a stranger can use. “Great seller” does not.
- What did you order?
- How was the quality once it arrived?
- How long did shipping actually take?
What lands on your page
An example, written to show the shape. The name, the tags and the verified mark come from the reviewer and the link they used, and nothing shows until you approve it.
Example
Ordered the tour bundle the night it dropped. Shirt print quality beats anything I have bought from bigger bands, and it showed up in four days.
Worth knowing
Link the page in the order confirmation email or the note that goes in the package. Both land right when somebody is excited about what they bought.
