Address Removal
Get your home address off the people-search sites that sell it, one opt-out form at a time, with a reminder when it is time to check again.
People-search sites buy public records and sell profiles with home addresses for under a dollar each. Anyone who knows your real name can find where you live. Each site has a form to remove your listing, and Address Removal keeps the list of them in one place. It lives on the Safety tab, under Address Removal.
Open it
- Open your dashboard and tap Safety.
- Tap Address Removal, then Open.
The board
Each site is a row. Open one and you see its steps, a link to its opt-out form, and a button that moves its status along:
- Not started. You have not asked yet.
- Asked. You sent the form. Thirty days later, one email asks whether it cleared.
- Clear. Your listing is gone. Ninety days later, one email asks you to check again, because records come back.
- Came back. You found it listed again. The next tap puts it back to Asked.
Start over takes a site back to Not started. The top of the page counts how many sites are clear.
You do everything on the site's own page: type your details into its form and click the link it emails you. TheyRave never sees your address and sends nothing for you. All it keeps is the site, the status and the day.
Only sites whose opt-out form a session has opened are listed. Intelius, TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate and US Search share one form, so they are one row. Every address is checked each day, and a row says when its page was last confirmed.
Results about you
The last row is Google. Results about you hides search results that show your address, phone or email, and since February 2026 ID numbers too. Tick each as you send it and press Save ticks. Two more links cover other private details and explicit pictures.
The email
One email, with the subject A check is due, when any site is due a look. It names no site. Open the board, check the site, and tap its status.
Where this comes from
- People-search brokers sell profiles with home addresses for under a dollar a record: Lawfare, October 2023.
- Google's Results about you removes addresses, phones, emails and, since February 2026, ID numbers: TechCrunch.
